My NW8440 with a bunch of sofware provided by college takes about 46-50secs to boot up. N about 1 min to shut down...is it normal? i expect it to be faster.

    My config:
    intel t7200 2.0ghz
    ati firegl 256mb
    2gb ram

how long does it takes for u all?
any suggestion to decrease the time?

    Helps greatly appreciated.

    ~28 secs here

    HP dv2000t
    Core 2 Duo T5200 @ 1.66GHZ
    1.5 GB RAM
Windows XP Media Center - SP2

    To decrease boot times:
Check the startup items - msconfig
    Disable unneeded services - services.msc
I have indexing, system restore disabled
