How long is the Envy 14 warranty if I didn't purchase any additional warranty?

My laptop keeps turning off by itself and I'm planning to call HP to see if they they would fix it for free. I've bought mine about a year ago and the warranty should be the stock one that comes with every Envy 14.

Would they fix it for free? And how long is the warranty? Since I bought mine about a year ago, I'm afraid my warranty might've expired already. And if the issue is substantial enough, would they replace my Envy for free even with base warranty? Thank you for your time.

The warranty is 2 years for the envy 14. Call HP and tell them about your problem and they will help you get it fixed without charge. Also, to know when the warranty expires for sure, download HP Support Assistant (from here) and click warranty to find the status.

It's two years for Envy notebooks purchased directly from HP, one year if you bought it somewhere else.

Some are 3 years here (on promotion), but the base is always one year.

I think most are two years...If you buy from a retailer it might be just one year

Yes. I wasn't informed of any 2-year warranties.

I do have a Square Trade warranty, but redundant protection would be nice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless something has changed, it's one year for Quick Ship models and two years for CTO models. In America, anyways. Originally that was the only reason I bought a CTO model. Don't know if 1st gen is different from 2nd.

interesting, the quick ship models on hp's website right now do have a 1 year warranty. I am guessing the same went on with the 1st gen models.

I used HP Support Assistant to check mine and it says mine expires in September, so I don't know why mine isn't two years.

You can always look at the HP label under your battery, it'll give you the best and specific indication of your warranty length.

Eg 1Y1Y0Y- 1year parts and labour
