Hey guys.
I just bought a new laptop and im following the instructions on how to do a clean vista install. I'm trying to burn my recovery cd's, but I'm not sure if its working.
When i went to recovery manager > advanced options > create recovery cd's, it justarted to "create files", but didn't prompt me for a dvd. The computer has been stuck on "50%" on creating files for like the past 10 minutes, and im wondering if its not working or something. I checked task manager and it says its still operational so im not sure..
Did it take this long to even create the files for you guys?

just kidding it finished! woohoo

It took a long time on mine. It seemed like an hour to gather files, an hour to write them and another hour to verify the written disc (and I used a single DVD+R DL). Very slow process..........

Its a pretty long process about 2-3 hours -
If you think burning the recovery disk is long...wait 'till you reinstall!!

yea it takes for ever, and for me, it wasted 3 dvd's before it finally worked!
