Well, I spilled coffee over my laptop last week, sent it in and just got the email about the shipment back to me :D I hope everything goes well, it's really my own fault, so I will be happy if they fix for free.

Now, do you think they will upgrade my laptop? It's a V3000 with very basic features. (core solo, 512, 60gb)...now I know I am expecting too much with upgrade, but do you guys have experience like mine and ended up with some upgrades? I am not expecting it, just want to know if it ever happened to you.

Btw, unless they just sent the unrepair back to me, otherwise I will give hp/compaq a big thumb up for fixing my laptop for free and so quickly. :)

they won't give you any upgrades for any repair, especially for accidental damage. they only offer upgrades for people who have sent their notebooks in repeatedly for problems that were not caused by the owner.
