    Hello all,
Rrgh. Frustrating. I have a dv6000t as listed in my signature, and have encountered many various problems with it, specifically regarding games. Most of my games will randomly crash, regardless of what I have tried. For example, Battlefield 2 will spontaneously crash unless set to the absolute minimum settings, which dosen't make a lick of sense as I will still get framerates well above the 50s on medium. So I am asking the rest of you Pavilion users if you have noticed anything similar. If not, I am going to assume that there is something seriously wrong with my computer and start looking into my warranty options. Please let me know what your experience has been. Thanks.

Update your drivers, optimize vista, turn off UAC, and run in Administrator mode.

    update your drivers.

also while playing the game how hot does your computer get? The only thing I can think of that would be seriously wrong (if you can't find a driver that remedies the problem) is that maybe the heatsink isn't seated properly causing the GPU to get too hot.

    but first update your drivers

I have updated drivers, rolled back drivers, tried laptopvideo2go's drivers, disabled antivirus, ran comp on cooling pad, reinstalled various games, reinstalled os, defragmented HDD, changed process priority, changed affinity, used registry cleaners, tried without using registry cleaners, tried various virtual memory settings, completed exahustive antivirus scans with various programs, spyware scans, swearing, graphics optimizations with nvidia control panel, followed every applicable step in the tweakguides 173 page tweaking manual, re-reinstalled os, and just about everything else short of vigorous percussive maintainance. :D
I also ran many of the ultimate boot cd's diagnostics, HDD, memory, and processor all performed just fine.
Edit: Sorry, forgot to post temps. With serious gaming, cpu gets to around 60c, graphics card I have never seen get above 62. Do you experience around the same?

62 C for the GPU seems good to me. Could still be the drivers however. The newest drivers aren't always the best and certain games can be picky.
