    How many memory slots in DV9500t?

    I have two 1GB memory chips installed inside it now, can I upgrade it to 4GB memory?

    It has two slots like almost every notebook currently on the market.

    To upgrade to 4GB, you will need to replace both sticks so you will need to get 2x2GB sticks.

    Look at the hot ram deals thread(first and last couple of pages) for great prices on memory

    Looks like need to pay extra $200 to get it to 4GB ram, and throw away current two 1GB chips.

    I recommend that you keep them just in case the new memory has problems.

    Also 200 dollars seem too much for 4GB.

    Have you look at the hot ram deals thread?

    In the last page, someone mentions this deal(2x2GB for ~85USD) and there are more deals mentioned in that thread.

    god on hp.com when your builting your laptop it costs $400 to go from 2gb to 4gb, i should have just got 1gb and upgraded for cheap.

    Yeah, its always a good idea to get the base configuration for Ram and HDD since that are very easy to upgrade and its cheaper doing it yourself.

    Never upgrade with the manufactuer, unless its cheap cheap or its like $10 more and your lazy
