Does anybody know for sure how many pins are on the dv9700t RAM?

I found the ram at kingston: http://tinyurl.com/yq8xma But they're out of stock and I haven't been able to verify it anywhere.

It looks like 200 PIN SODIMM DDRII 667 memory.

Can anybody provide verification before I buy this?

BTW: $50 for 1 2G module and I'll get two (I know about the 3.5g limit on Vista 32)

Thanks for the replies guys. My current laptop is a dv9500z that I bought in October. Unfortunately, I decided to get an HD Camcorder for Christmas and it really exposed the weakness of AMD. This will be my first Intel in about 8 years.

My 9700t is scheduled to be shipped 2nd day on the 30th. I'm just collecting the rest of the goodies to go with it. I just ordered a DGL-4500 and now the RAM upgrade from 2-4.

Anyway, thanks for the replies. You'd think this info would be easier to find.

BTW: How does the Frys Patriot RAM stack up against Kingston: Speed, CAS Latency etc.

You can use DDR2-800 but it will downclock to DDR2-667 speeds so there is not point in getting it unless its cheaper.

If you don't have the system yet, it's best to try and schedule shipping so you get everything at once. If you have a bad part, you usually have at most 30 days to return it. If you have the part sitting in the box for 15 days, that burns up a lot of time.

Once you get both the system and the RAM, make sure to test the RAM using memtest86+ (see the guide in my sig).

System and RAM will be here Wednesday. I've been using memtest for years.
