    Voided my warrenty on my laptop, they want over $750 just for a new mother board... How much are parts worth if I decide to seperate the laptop? Will the parts even sell?

    Case
    Screen
    HD
    Memory Sticks (2 dims at 3gigs each)
    Keyboard
    Battery 6 cell

    Are you sure about the 3gb ram sticks? And for prices ebay would be a better way to find them

    Probably 1 2gb stick and 1 4gb stick.

    The ram and battery would sell fast.

    Did you already sell the CPU? That should be worth a good amount of cash.

    LCD should be a easy sell as well, looking at $170 for that including the whole assembly.

    To begin with, I would recommend listing the specific parts (HD? Is it an SSD or HDD? and so on). Like somebody else mentioned, I would search Ebay and probably NewEgg to find what these parts are going for both used and new.

    EDIT: Out of curiosity (and if you don't mind sharing), what were you trying to do that led to your warranty being voided?

    No, it wasn't defective at start... it was simply he made some aftermarket adjustments that unfortunately didn't work out.

    Yeah that sucks. If I'm not mistaken, he just recently purchased this system too, right? Well, if he could list the specific components of his system, we might be able to help him some more.
