So is the dv5t at the end of it's 2 year cycle? Or would it be 2 years from the point of discontinuation?

    The dv6 isn't what I want. I want a 15 or 15.4 nch laptop not 16

I believe the DV4,5, and 7 were released in the second half of last year. The 5,6 7 series are only 7-9 months old.

Disappointing, I know. But it may be the replacement as HP is getting away from 16:10 screens (15, 15.4") and leaning towards 16:9 HD (15.6, 16") screens. Seeing as they call their units, "Pavillion entertainment PCs."

    :)

Perhaps they will maintain the 15" screen size for a spell in their business side of things. But will clearly be shifting as well to 16.9 aspect ratio as that favors their economy of scale when it comes to procuring screens for their entire line of notebooks.
