    How the HDMI work for my notebook?

    I got a HP 6875SE notebook which has a HDMI connector. I use a HDMI cable to connect it with my plasma TV, the video can output to the plasma but not for the audio. The audio still output from my notebook speaker. I though HDMI should output audio and video all together, isn't it? Or there are some setting I need to do?

    Depends what OS you are using....

    The idea is to set the default sound device is going to be.

    I'm assuming Vista.

    Windows Vista/Windows 7, on the bottom right where the volume icon is.
    Right click, select Playback device, Right Click on HDMI, select default device
