Hey all...
I'm wondering how to add bluetooth capabilities (with PCMCIA card) to my laptop (Presario V3019US)...
I have a broadcomm miniPCMCIA card with bluetooth that hp sent me a while ago as a replacement for an old laptop (a V2000z)...would I be able to use that one?
Thanks!

Do you mean a miniPCI card?
If BT was an option for your computer originally, you should be able to add an internal card. Otherwise you may have to look to a USB or PC card/Express card solution (not sure what the v3000z has) -
the most convinient way i can think of for you to add bluetooth to your sytem would be for you to purchase a usb bluetooth which im sure wouldnt cost you more than 10-20 dollars and has good range and is cost effective

Yes, that's what I mean...I was trying to search for a part number for the Wireless/Bluetooth card on hp's site but could come close to anything...
The "miniPCI" card that I have is part #394254-002...any help would be appreciated guys... -
Your old one is unlikely to work since the V3000z uses PCie interface rather than the older PCI. You will have to buy a new card which will be much smaller than regular mini PCIe cards. The installation will be painful since you will have to dismantle the laptop to access the slot for the bluetooth card. HP has nice videos of dismantling their noteboks. Look through them and see if it would be worthwhile trying to install the internal card or just get an external one and keep your warranty...
