Any special reason you would like to use glue instead of normal thermal paste?

If your computer is overheating I suggest you take it apart and clean the dust out from the fan and heat sink fins. Instructions on how to take the machine apart are in the DV2000 service manual which is available on HP's site: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01035657.pdf

In the end the effect will be exact opposite. After you use glue you cannot anymore remove the heatsink for cleaning and that will be the death of the computer.

As jimbob83 says, clean the dust. That is the main reason why the laptop runs so hot. When you assemble the laptop, reapply decent thermal paste for both VGA and CPU.
