Hi to all, im new here, ive read the post to clean heatsink of dv20xx to know how to disassembly the laptop.
My cpu burned out so i bought a new one but taking it to hp people is really expensive, i have plenty experience in desktops but never changed a laptop cpu, i saw how to disassembly the laptop (mine is dv2125nr with turion x2 processor) will i be able to change the processor by myself? i can see in pictures that nothing keeps it in the right position so what should i do?
(sorry about bad english)
Thanks for help.

The service manual, which should be located on HP's site, will explain the procedure.

Thanks for help, the problem is that in hp's site you can only find out how to change memory and HDD and stuff like that but nothing about changing the processor so i'm little worried because i cant find any guide on how to change it...

Go to here: http://h20181.www2.hp.com/plmconten...382&MEID=CF4D36A0-D4E4-4E35-9570-7E0EBB090905
You should be able to reach the CPU after watching those clips.
After removing your old CPU and putting your new one, don't forget to apply thermal grease to the surface of the CPU. -
Ok i saw it now i just have to do it
