Could anyone give a step by step on how to get there? Also, what would you recommend setting it at?

I have the HDX18t if that makes a difference.

    Thanks!

Im confused about what you are asking?

Treble/Bass for the touchpad? For speakers? Please clarify.

Yeah for the speakers. Besides the "MediaSmart" touch controls above the keyboard, is there a way through the computer to change the treble and bass?

I know there is but I can't figure out how, I remember that you could since it was mentioned in a review of the HDX18t.

He wants to change the treble and base of the speakers through windows not the little touch buttons above the keyboard

I dont think there is a way to ajust that. In Windows Media Player, you can ajust "True-Bass" and "Wow-Effect". But thats all I know of.

    Sorry.

if you have IDT audio you can open the control panel for that frome the sys tray, and then click playback>equalisation. you thenn get a graphic equaliser infront of you. i advise leaving it flat however, since it does cause distortion very quickly when changed.
