I bought a HP dv6614tx last week and the store told me that i can claim $150 back from HP and they gave me the website on the receipt and all, http://www.hp.com.au/retailpromotions however i can't find anything on that site for the dv6614tx cash back?? I've tried calling HP, i was given the number to that particular department, i was told by a machine to leave a message with my number and that they'd get back to me but no body has. Anyone had experience with this?

which store did you go to? The store person could have printed out the form for you and all you need to do is fill it out.

I believe this is the form: https://h50245.www5.hp.com/Onlinepromo/promo.asp?promoid=178 however it says the following in the terms: "Final claims must be received by close of business 14th November 2007 AEST to be eligible for entrance into the promotion." so I assume there must be another promotion going on, or the sales person wasn't aware of the cutoff date.

There is a Compaq cash back currently going on: http://h50025.www5.hp.com/ENP5/Public/Content.aspx?contentID=23227&portalID=367&pageID=1
Also a HP desktop cash back:
    http://h50025.www5.hp.com/ENP5/Public/Content.aspx?contentID=23228&portalID=367&pageID=1

but I see nothing for a dv6614tx laptop.

Thanks for the link to the form. Seems like you're right however, they probably have promotion dates. I'll just try to get into contact with HP.

I saw that compaq cash back and the desk top ones in the link i was given, but yeah...maybe i have to wait for a note book cash book promotion?

Well i just tried to apply...and i got the message " Purchased After Closing Date. This promotion is only valid for products purchased between 1-Aug-2007 to 31-Oct-2007."

So i'm assuming that another promotion date will be set! Anyone have experience with this?

I'm not sure if it exist in the US? I'm only aware of those coupons being offered in the US, so maybe this is another variation with cash back?
