I bought some Monitor Wipes from Staples and it seems to work alright.

I'm scared to do it, but I think I have a microfiber cloth laying around somewhere that I used on my car.

I use Cotton. And when all dust and dried drops are cleaned I use a microfiber cloth for cleaning all cotton micro parts that it leaves afte usage. It works good for me.

My office bought PixelClean LCD screen cleaner and It's worked great! I've used it on Regular CRT monitors, LCD monitors, and many different laptops.

You may want to check the box your manuals came in because when my laptop arrived, HP had included a microfiber cloth in one of the plastic bags.

Yeah they do include that with every laptop purchase, but it really doesn't do a good job at cleaning the monitor. It's nice to have to clean off a fingerprint mark here or there, but I wouldn't use it as your only cleaner.

I'm not sure how well this technique works for glossy monitors, but here's the technique I use:

    1. Get a soft washcloth and dampen it.
    2. Wipe screen with the dampened washcloth.
    3. Quickly take a micofiber lens cloth and dry the screen. This is the tricky part. You need to make sure that the cloth is flat on the screen and not bunched up; otherwise, you will leave streaks. If you wait too long, you will get streaks. If you wipe too much, you will get streaks.

However, if you do everything right, you will be left with a screen that's just about as perfect as when it left the factory. Again, I don't know how well this works for glossy screens, though.

Eyeglass cleaning spray + microfiber cloth works for me. Or just the cloth.
