    1. Pre-installed program- I tried going to Program&Features, but I couldn't find all the pre-installed programs in the list. Whereelse should I go?

    2. The System-Restore on your harddrive. How do you get rid of that?
I am asking because I bought system restore disk and really don't feel the need of having that chunck in my HD.

Sorry with so many questins. I am almost a computer illiterate.

    Assuming you have Vista

Go to Start > All Programs > Recovery Manager > Advanced Options > Remove Recovery Partition

    start(windows icon)>>search "defender">>>click windows defender>>>tools>>>software explorer

(you may have to "show for all users" to disable)

Try Disk CleanUp... btw, you can also disable your System Restore upon clicking on the next TAB of Disk CleanUp
