why would you want to?
If you disable aero, you'll be on the 'standard' windows gui and running that gui on the cpu. usually running the gui, even a complex one like aero, from the igp is easier on the battery. -
I can confirm that... Last time I tried disabling Aero on battery, it actually increased the power usage by at least 1-2 watts.
The same is true of Compiz in Linux, assuming you have sane settings.
