    Hey guys

I have HP envy 15 2014 .. my touchpad was incredibly glitchy. it was unusable
it detects pressure even when i am not touching the touchpad

I googled the problem and found too many people having the same issue.
you can check the comments in this video

Now i figured out how to fix it

First of all. I am not responsible for any problem happens to your notebook as a result
It's easy to fix so don't worry. it may void your warranty. i am not sure.
i forgot to take photos so forgive me.
the fix worked on my envy 2014 model .. Not sure if it will work on other laptops.

    Now to the guide:

1- You have to disassemble your base enclosure, you will find the guide in your laptop manual but here are screenshots from my laptop manual

2- now to the inside of the laptop, in the bottom at the trackpad place you will have some silver screws
these screws are over tightened .. just unscrew them then rescrew until the screws force you
    do not overtight the screws

sorry i don't have photos but you will find them.

3- re assemble every thing back, just make sure you don't over tight these screws too

Now hopefully the problem will be fixed for you

    bonus advice:
    1- be careful
2- do not over tight any screw as the laptop screws are made of horrible material. too many stripped screws in my laptop.
3- make sure you won't break any plastic thing in the laptop base enclosure
4- do not re screw the small screws in battery place in the enclosure if you are willing to open your laptop again

EDIT 28/8/2015: I recommend this driver

sorry for too many "screw" word in the thread

AhmedouviX is correct. Following the instructions that AhmedouviX posted regarding “How to fix HP touchpad "controlzone" glitching” will in fact void your HP warranty. My recommendation is that you contact HP Tech support 800 474 6836 for phone diagnostics to check out the touchpad.

Yes I recommend that too. I just couldn't leave the laptop for two weeks because of my work so I did it myself.

    Thanks

EDIT: I recommend trying this driver too. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71867.exe
