Mornin' all! I have a question. So I've been looking for alternatives for the 3820TG from Acer (since it's impossibru to obtain), and came across a singapore-only version of the HP Envy 4, the one that has the radeon 7670 card. I want specifically a radeon card (notebook check shows that radeon cards are capable of playing with solidworks in ways nvidia never could, without being a quadro) in a portable frame.

So the Envy 4 fits the bill. There is no american made version with the radeon card though. What do?

If you are looking for the 7670m in particular, the DV6Z series from HP has it, and I don't remember any other laptops right now that do. It is not an Envy, but has that video card. It also comes with AMD processors, which may or may not be a con. Note that the 7670m is not the new GCN architecture.

HP is coming out with some new Envy lines this October, is this what you are talking about?

I see what you mean. Looks like HP has the Envy 4T 1000 on their website that is close, but not exactly the same.

If you look at the processor options, some of them are configured with the 7670m. Looks like only 2nd gen intel processors at the moment.

No clue how to import one, but I would bet that if you give them a bit of time, they will update specs on that machine and offer what you want.

Oh! I didn't realize that the GPU was attached to the CPU changes...this is perfect then! Now I just need to double check the laptop's battery life and if it clears 6 hours, we're good
