Comp specs in sig. I have a HP, I forgot what F key it is. The screen where it says what it is flashes by too fast so I can't see. Anyone know?

If you cannot get that screen to show up long enough, try getting a digital camera and taking a movie. You can pause the movie and see if you can see it.

I thought that was F11 for recovery.

Seriously, just boot 12 times and hit a different key each time. One time it will actually work.

AHA!!!! after quite a lengthy process of digging up the web... i got this straight from HP's own website..

    hope that works.

funny how different manufacturer (or even different model from same manufacturer) has different way to enter the BIOS... some even put "Esc" key..

FYI...When on the BIOS splash screen, pressing the "pause" key will pause the screen so you can get a good look at it.

The reason for the thread was so that I could "tweak" the boot up. I disabled floppy drive and changed the boot order sequence, and now that screen that flashes by that I can't even read what the F-Keys do, shows about a second longer and I CAN read it now. ;o

Never knew the pause key would do that, I shall try it.
