We recently bought dv 6500 laptops to connect to a machine. The software that comes with it requires Windows XP or 2000. I tried to install it on new HP laptops with Vista and it doesn't work. Is there any way to make it work on Vista or do we need to install XP. If I have to install XP, then does it require any tweaking or just inserting the XP cd and letting it run. I did a search here on the forum about how to do a clean install, but I would like to know if there is any other possible way, and any "How to do- Guides" for that.
    Any help would be aprreciated,
    Thanks.

During installation of the software, it gave message saying some drivers were not installed, Although, I'll try in compatibility mode.
