    Does anyone know how hard it is to replace a internal plug in wireless card in a HP Pavillion dv4000 and where physically might be located? roy

    Keep in mind that for some HP laptops, the computer is locked in to using certain cards.

    Also keep in mind that you WILL void your warranty and HP is not likely to help you in the future. I suggest getting a wireless PCMCIA card instead and forget about opening up your laptop. In my experiences, more bad has gone wrong from people opening up their laptops than good.
