I just recently upgraded my XP MCE to vista, and I'm just wondering how to change back to xp from vista.

I have the recovery discs for xp.

I don't think you have any choice but to reinstall a fresh XP (or use the recovery CD's)
Backup the stuff you want to keep. Then run the recovery - depending on it's behavior it might wipe everything or just wipe the first partition(i don't know exactly how the recovery CD's work for hp - on some computers it wipes everything up).
You can read the manual or search the web to find out your options and the way it works.

no, i'm just wondering if I could do it. I'm actually pretty happy with vista so far. I get about the same battery life when i put the power plan to power saver and with aero turned on.

the only problem I have is possibly the ram overheating, so I'm upgrading that to 2gb
