    Hello
i have hp compaq nx7400 laptop since 2 yrs now.
Had windows xp on it for most of that time.
But ive decided to switch to ubuntu 7.10. Now the thing is, i remember <im 99% sure> that i did turned off that intel pro wireless 3945abg while on xp. Now im tryin to establish an wireless connection, and i cant get that wi-fi to work :(
theres this special button <above f2, with blue led>, but when pressing it, blue led is lit but only bluetooth is activated. Ubuntu syslogs r pointing out that the card is still turned off, so does the network manager says, >> no wireless connection.....

So my question is: how can i turn that wi-fi on? is there a secret keybord combination to turn it on? or maybe i shall press that special button numerous times? i mean....im lost n despearate here

    waiting for response.....

    thx in advance
