I currently own a Hp envy 14 1110nr with 4gs of memory, I want to upgrade that to 6 or 8gs. I tried to ask hp and the agent gave me this info "It is the DDR3 PC3-10600, Part #: CT2335609." Now I then contacted the parts people at hp and thats when he told me it be $500.00 ok that seems really high. I looked on my own and found a few like this for example.......Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 Memory Module (CT2CP51264BC1339) and Komputerbay 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 SODIMM (204 pin) 1333Mhz PC" Both were only about $50.00. So what am I missing here that on one hand hp tells me 500 and looking online on my own I see them for only 50 60 bucks????
Can someone please help me on this??? If you could either point me in the right direction or recommend some place that I could buy it from I would be very appreciative. I never thought trying to upgrade your memory would be so freakin difficult.

hp always charges far more for the memory they provide than you would pay if purchased somewhere else.
so just get that crucial 2x4gb ddr3 1333mhz ram and youll be fine, and go for 8gb, its the maximum your notebook supports, and the price difference is minimal compared to 6gb.
How to upgrade my Memory?????
