Could anyone please guide me on how to use HP expresscard TV tuner. I installed the software from CD, made all the connections as shown in the quickstart guide. But I don't get any signal from the antena. I then tried by connecting the cable instead of antena, but I don't get all the channels as on the TV. I'm using it for the first time, so don't know how its suppose to work. Is it suppose to show all channels you get on the TV and whats the use of antena, is it for local channels?

I set it up by connecting the cable as shown in HP booklet, I was able to get TV channels but it doesnot show all channels that I get on TV. My question is do we get all channels that we normally see on cable TV or I need anything else. Also, what's the purpose of the antena, how can I find out if that works. Where does the antena get the signal from? on air?
Please let me know how it's suppose to setup and work, if anyone is using it.
    Thank you!

OK, so finally I got it working with Quickplay, I haven't checked using Vista's media center (which I was previously trying). I've to check if HP has made the tv tuner to work with Quickplay only, but for now its working.

You have a bit to learn in order to get things configured correctly because it varies by location and cable system. Go to thegreenbutton.com or whatever it is called and start reading the archives and using the search function.

Through cable you will only be able to receive those channels that are not encrypted by the cable company. The same channels you would get without a cable box on your TV. With Comcast I get around 65 channels.

The antenna is for Over The Air digital channels (HD television).

In Vista Media Center just go to Tasks >Settings>TV Setup and follow through the directions and steps. Be patient it can take awhile to go though all the steps.

Do we get all channels "Over The Air" or only local channels?

"Over The Air" would be only your local channels. The same channels that you would normally get if you attached an external TV antenna (not Cable) to a regular TV in your area.
