Is it really as simple as just right clicking on C and choosing format? Im about to sell my Dv7 and I would like to give the guy buying it a clean computer but with the bios fix that i did and without all the HP bloatware. I have burned recovery DVDs already.

    Thanks Tim

Reboot and press F11 to enter recovery mode. Use Minimal System Installation option.

Would creating a system image and then doing the MSI be a good option for installing the OS to a SSD? Or would a clean install + installing drivers manually work better?

IMO, a clean install + driver is the best. Google "Activation Backup & Restore" to back up your windows license.

Or you could restore it to factory conditions in case the guy wanted any of the HP bloatware that it came with.
