I was about to buy the dv8000t, but special thanks (no pun intended lol) to forum members who commented on the major flaws of the keyboard, I decided that the dv6040CA would be the better buy.

Anyway, I'm on the "phase" of quitting gaming altogether, but would still play the occasional adventure game (like Dreamfall and Indigo Prophecy). Would the GeForce Go 7200 play them at native resolution? I'm okay with setting details down a bit as long as its not easily noticeable.

So tell me, how's the speed of the Go 7200 compared to Go 7300? Does the 7200 have dedicated RAM or is it a UMA GPU like the Go 6150?

Any info regarding the GeForce Go 7200 is most welcome. Thanks!!

I'm not sure as to how powerful the Go 7200 is in terms of gaming but it has 64MB dedicated and 192MB shared. According to benchmarks, it's probably about 20-30% slower than the Go 7300.

It should be good enough for those games. Doom3 would be another story.

I still have yet to see how ugly Doom 3 is going to run on my system, I haven't had the guts to pop the installation CDs in.

For the simple stuff you mentioned, it should be okay. I really would prefer seeing you get something a bit better, though, in case you ever relapse, hehe.

I ran LOTR II at medium it happen to some weird lag.. smooth 85% of the time. 15% will just stuck there for 5 second and come back ( kind of like it is going to crash, but never did) I am still able to finish the battles tho
