My question is, will this laptop get overheated easily? How's the quality? Thx!

It might get alittle warm due to the AMD CPU. Hows the intel version priced like? (dv6t) Mind you HP's pavilion line's cooling system is not particularly capable either.

Looks like a very nice configuration. That's a very potent GPU, which will generate a fair amount of heat under heavy use. You might want to use a cooling pad while gaming. HP really needs to design better cooling systems. Don't let this scare you off though. ATI designed their chips to handle the heat, unlike the previous generation NVIDIA GPUs that have been failing left and right.

I'm thinking about buying this model as well. Planning on using it for school and playing World of Warcraft.

I've heard mixed reviews about this laptop though. Some people say you can cook eggs on it...others say it's not that bad. I guess I'd have to see one in action first. I hate having mixed feelings about something.

BestBuy.ca has a similar model for the same price. Better cpu with inferior gpu:

    dv6-1238ca

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530

I'm almost inclined to go with the better gpu since it cannot be upgraded. But that's just me.
