Title basically says it all, what does everyone think about the F28 bios? How warm does it run? And does it affect battery life, what is the charging issue?
thanks in advance

The Charging issue was a problem where some peoples laptops wouldn't charge at all, even when properly connected

I'm currently testing out f.28 to see how it works and can give more feedback in a few days after evaluating it a bit more. So far it seems stable and keeps the CPU around 22-25'C for typical light duties.

Isn't the 22-25 considerably cooler than normal?
i think i have th f16 bios, all i know is i haven't had any problems so i haven't worried about it all too much. Fan and heat are annoying tho, almost to the point of envying a macbook....... -

I tried f.28 for a couple of days, but the average CPU temp jumped up to 53 degrees C at idle! I went back to f.16, and it went back down to a more respectable 28-30. HD temps stayed around 50-53 in both. The f.28 bios had my fan turning off and on every couple of minutes, while f.16 keeps it on at the lowest speed for longer periods of time -- and for me, the constant on is much less annoying than the off-and-on.

thanks Cogitatus, it sounds like I'll be staying with my current bios which I believe is F16

I don't see the same behaviour that others are reporting with f.28 running too hot or the fan turning on/off too much. I find it works very much like f.15 which I think was the best BIOS until this one came out. Battery life seems to be the same.
The only oddity with f.28 is the network adaptor changed and Vista created another default adaptor (#2). No big deal really...I think I'll be keeping f.28.
