    Hi, all

Just switch on my new 8710p (Vista Business).. upon booting up was presented with the vista 32 or 64bits selection, now..according to my license.. suppose to be 32bit version (DVD stated) but wonder what is wrong if selecting the 64bit version?

Anybody here selected 64bit version? does that mean we would get a 64bits OS license? since i dun have the 64bits OSCD. then could we get 64bits OSCD should we want to move on to 64bits?

    Thanks all..

IIRC, it's the same product key for both 64-bit and 32-bit versions. i.e. a 32bit home premium key will also work for 64-bit home premium, etc. :) Hope that helps.

Yes, or you can use the Clean Install Guide in my sig and skip over the activation as well.

    Thanks to all..

Picked on 32bits, since i am running only on 2gb ram.. and comes across many threads claiming 64bits is running slower on many application.. (even dell dropping their 64bits support?)

Planned to up to 4GB on 64bits later.. for rendering works.

Dell is not dropping x64 and it's also not running slower. BS.

No offense.. here just from some other thread, think maybe its picking up slower then expected... and certainly know it should run faster when everything is up on the same platform.

Just that this 64bits thing is making life a little confusing at present moments :D

You are right, lots of people are confused, but I say that x64 is the way to go now, not tomorrow.
