    Hp Compaq NX9420 shuts off randomly

    Hi!

    I'm helping my cousin out with her computer. When I started the computer the first time I got a message that "hal.dll" is missing or corrupt. I tried to take out the HDD and plug it in to my computer, but my computer didn't recognize the disk. So I thought the HDD had crashed and I went and bought a new one.

    Did a fresh install of Win 7 and that went well, but now the computer shuts off after 2-3 minutes. Have reinstalled win 7 again, but got the same problem.

    Any tips of how to solve this?
