ive heard that when using Hp Cool sense on the coldest setting, that it slows down the cpu, i dont see how this can happen, yet of heard some people say as much
can anyone confirm this? using cool sense on coldest setting lowers my internal temps significantly, and i dont really notice any draw backs, but i want to know if anyone else has experienced any, thanks

honestly i dont notice a different between coolest mode and performance optimized
the laptop gets warm when i play starcraft 2 on any setting -

Many of us just leave it on performance. Others have also complained that the coolest mode did muck with the OS and the bios to negatively effect the CPU. Think about it...throttled down, it won't get hot. Leave it on performance if you want performance.

From what i noticed the coolest mode keep the fans running until it get bellow 40, while the performance mode, the fans works only when it is above 50s.
Also in this review Review-HP-Pavilion-dv6-6008eg is says -
I imagine that it would have no impact on machines that don't have processors with Turbo Boost.
-
But I believe turbo is on all computers with cool sense
-
-
They have their own version of turbo boost don't they?
-
TurboBoost version in Fusion APU is called TurboCores.
