yeh i have been dealing with the dummies over at hp for about a week now, with absolutely NOTHING accomplished... i am a bit hyped up right now because i just got off the phone with them and we had a yelling match and it seems like the guy on the phone thought by yelling the loudest he would win?
basically my computer ****ted on me - it completely crashed.. i used system recovery dvd (which u need to pay extra for) and it did not work, there is an internal error.. so what does hp decide to do? they tell me to get some sleep! i tell them i need this laptop by friday because i am going out of town, and that is the main reason i even bought this laptop, to have while i go on vacation this summer... and what do they tell me to do? "get some sleep and we will take care of this" -- so they tell me im going to get a call by a supervisor monday.. nope - no phone call.. call back and they say another supervisor will call monday night.. nope - no phone call.. tuesday they tell me they will send me a EMPTY BOX which takes 24 hours to get here.. well, its been about 3 days now and i haven't gotten a box, and according to their website - NO BOX HAS BEEN SHIPPED AS OF YET. so i call them and they tell me to give the EMPTY BOX 3 DAYS TO GET HERE... an empty box takes 5 days to get here? ill go buy an empty box for christs sake!
i paid extra for a 3-day turnaround to repair laptops with their hp care program and if they really followed the 3-day, i wouldve had the laptop by friday.. but now it looks like im not getting it until next week sometime.. and i leave on vacation on friday...
besides what i just typed, they have lied to me about 6 times now.. they will not take care of a customer that just got the laptop in last week brand new that paid 2200 dollars for their best laptop... what is this? why must i have to YELL and argue, i never had to argue with any other company before and this is just ridiculous.. i really do not care for hp anymore, i loved it for the 3 days i was able to use it, and now i absolutely hate them. i will be calling them again later this evening and asking for a full refund because this should not happen - and they agree with me. they tell me they will take care of me, and they continue to lie... this is not what i expected from hp considering i have used other products of theirs. this is very dissapointing and i will be looking for a different brand of laptop now.
one word of advice to hp --> STOP LYING TO MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE HAPPY WHEN THEY FIND YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ... AND NEVER, NEVER START AN ARGUMENT WITH A CUSTOMER AND HAVE IT BECOME A YELLING MATCH IN WHICH THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT REP IS DETERMINED TO WIN. THIS IS A NO-NO.

maybe you should ask to speak to someone higher up the ladder, probably their supervisor.

LOL they keep telling him a supervisor will talk to him but they never do. i think u shud get the names of the people you talk to and demand you get your money back, they have already lied you many times already. 3 strikes i think was the safe limit for refunds.

If you just got the laptop last week and from HP, return it and exercise your right as a consumer and buy another brand.

hp is getting a call within 10 minutes after i post this - going to DEMAND my money back. i am NOT paying restocking fee's or anything they are going to throw at me. i had a faulty computer with horrid customer service AND the lies... i am now going to purchase a different brand. Asus or Toshiba here i come.
