My registry messed up on a previous install of Vista, so I had to re-install. Everything is fine, vista 64 is working great, all the drivers are working , and the software working great....EXCEPT my video card drivers.
I've tried installing the drivers, uninstalling the installing, rebooting in between, and I've tried 2 diff sets of drivers. NOTHING IS WORKING.
I have an HP Dv6, with a 1GB ATI Radeon....I believe its HD 4650. Under Device Manager , its just showing Standard VGA Adapter. I've tried updating the driver under device manager as well, to no avail.
Can someone PLEASE help me?

Oh wow, after hours of trying to deal with this issue, I finally found an SW***.exe on my external HD, specifically for ATI Radeon. This is it. Whats crazy is, I couldnt find it on their website, and the "drivers" from the ati radeon site just installed the catalyst control center thing.
This is apparently the ONLY thing that installs the actual drivers. FINALLY. -
solved without even any help.
