Hp DV6t-2100 Backlight Problem

Hello. The backlight of my hp laptop has been giving me a headache for the past few week. Randomly, the backlight would turn off even though the laptop or the screen was not moving. This would happen when I am playing a game or working on a document. I can still see my desktop under a bright light source. And I could get the backlight to turn on again by closing and reopening the lid. But, I do not have the neither the hibernate or sleep functions turned on. Besides that, I do not seem to be able to replicate the problem by moving the screen or the laptop. I do not have any issue with the overall performance of the system so far. The laptop is under warranty, but as a student, I depend very heavily on it to get my assignments done. Is there anything I can do or has anybody else had this problem before?

Unfortunately not. I have had not this problem for the past few months, but it decided to resurface about a week ago. It is such an intermittent problem that i cant just find the cause of it
