My friend has a laptop which just went our of warranty last month. Now its out of warranty and today that hard disk is gone. It doesnot showup in BIOS and I tried everything that I could do to help her. The hdd is of Fujitsu and I thought that the hdd has a 3 year meanufacturing warranty atleast. So, we called Fujitsu about that and they told us that we should contact with HP to settle that but its out of warranty so its not of use. Any idea what should I do?
I think HP won't care coz its already out of warranty and Fujitsu doesnot want to help..

You're on your own. Fortunately SATA 2.5" HDs are cheap and easy to replace.

Its not the price but the data.
Any support that I can get? -
How important is the data?
It would be expensive!!! -

You might be lucky to be able to just swap the circuit board and the data being intact on the drive. Otherwise reading the data off the magnetic platters is a pretty costly exercise. Worth trying in another system just in case.

My HP warranty is expired but my hdd is of Fujitsu and I think there is 3 years warranty for HDD from manufaturers. So, can I get some help from Fujitsu since Im out of warranty from HP?

HP gets a better price for HDs by handling support for them instead of Fujitsu, etc.
All I can suggest is to plug the drive into another machine and see if the usual data recovery tools can get to anything. If it's really, really important you'll need to send the drive to a professional data recovery outfit, folks with clean rooms and specialized gear, for big $$$. Even if you had a retail purchased HD with factory warranty it wouldn't cover data recovery, just drive replacement.
This reminds me, I really need to make backups... -
you can also buy a sata hard drive enclosure and that way if the Hard Drive is still working you are able to recover the data, you can still use it as an external hard drive and if it doesnt work you can return it.
