My parents bought me the dv2000 special edition, i caught the one day sale for 899,regular 1049. Well when i opened it the u button dont work correct. Also, my tochpad works on its on, no really. if i have the cursor over a link, without touching it, it will click on it's own. i just want an exchange, it hasn't been 14 days yet.

Yeah you should return it because a keyboard not working is a serious problem for laptops sense it is not as easily replaceable as a desktop.

Just say it's been 14 days and after I received the laptop the "u" button was coming loose...obviously from normal use that shouldn't happen and request an exchange.

Well if you didn't mess with it, you didn't mess with it. Just go and be honest but firm. Say you want a replacement notebook-we can postulate all you want but only BB can say yes or no.

I have a suggestion. I have just gave my Gateway laptop to BB because it didn't charge. It took me several visits and one really "firm" phone call to their customer service line. So they didn't want to take the laptop for repairs, even though I had a 3 year service plan that still had one year left. So i called the customer service hotline. The rep heard my story transferred me to a supervisor. Supervisor supposedly talked to General manager and chewed out GeekSquad manager. So needless to say when I went to the store I was treated like royalty. I cut everybody in line and I was in and out within five minutes. So if they decide to not exchange the laptop then just go the route that I ended up taking.

you can disable the touchpads "tap to click" feature by right clicking on the synaptics logo in the taskbar and unchecking tap to click
