    Hello,

Im trying to get a laptop and after a lot of research I finally decided on this.

This feel like it has the most features for the price.

Also Im living in asia and Im just wondering if the coupons work and if they ship to asia.

Also is any other laptops better than what I have chosen? Do I really need so much ram? is 512 mb enough?

HPShopping.com doesn't ship to Asia, I don't think, but they must have an Aisan operation that does direct. As the the RAM, I'd say 512MB is fine, but I wouldn't get less to run Windows XP.

well if your considering upgrading. get just 256 and then outside, like at newegg.com upgrade your ram. easy to do and will save you money. right now i saw some deals for 2 512's for $53 after rebate i think. check it out.

Which part of Asia are you from? There is no problem in shipping to Asia. Actually it is shipped FROM Asia. You just need to find the right place to order from Asia. Go to HP.com and check their global links.

Might want to go somewhere other than NewEgg, since the buyer is in Asia. ;) I'm sure there are plenty of places to get a few sticks, though, since it's all made in Asia.

FYI. The new DV4000 with x700 is called DV4200 in Asia. Interestingly, the memory price in the US after rebate is usually cheaper than the market price in Hong Kong.
