My computer died recently (POS anyways, I'm not upset), and I've decided I want to get a laptop instead of another PC. I basically only need one for sort of general use, for the internet, music, pictures, mp3 player and camera software. No big games or anything.

I looked around some local stores and I've decided I really like this one, the DV6-1108.

I've tried searching with google for reviews but I can't seem to find any. All I can find is that AMD processors have a problem with heat? I'm wondering if they've sort of resolved that issue (since the reviews I found about that were from 2007) and if it's really bad or just..a noticeable but bareable amount.

I am going to look around a little more, but I really do like this one, and the price is what I can afford.

If I buy from somewhere like Best Buy, should I get extra warranty there or do I need to go through HP for that? What would that cover?

Any recommendations, info, advice and such would be appreciated.
    Thank you
