Just wondering, what do you like better? The hp dv6000t or the hp dv2000t?
The main difference is obviously the size: 14.1 inch to 15.4 inch screen. Also, the dv2000t is more portable, and has better battery life.
BUT, the dv6000t has a better graphics card: 256 mb compared to 156 mb.
I personally like larger computers; they feel better. I also like how the dv6000t has a better graphics card. Also, I'm not going to be traveling too much with it, and I'm not going to spend too much time away from the plug. Therefore, I like the dv6000t.
    What do you like better?
    -MATT :D

I was in the same dilema and just grabbed the one from Costco. I have been using an IBM Thinkpad X24 for 3 years. This laptop is 3 lbs, so imagine the difference. The new dv6000t is Awesome..... Plus it is 128mb for the dv2000t not 156mb....

It's a big jump in size going from the 2000 to the 6000. If size is not an issue to you, or you are looking for something that is more of a desktop replacement than the 6000 is an easy choice. For most people, portability is a big deal, as it was for me, so I went with the DV2000. They are both basically the same price, and you are getting more with the 6000.

It all comes down to size. As a desktop replacement that won't get used on the go much, the dv6000t is a great computer. But for those of us that use are systems on the go, the dv2000t makes for a great balance of power and portability, with a screen that's still large enough to be usable.

This is not true, they aRE LIKE 90% similiar beasts. The only difference is the 6000 has the better video card. That is all. You can get them configured the same except the video card.......

I still say go with the 6000, but that is IMO....

Unless you travel a LOT, I'd go with the 6000.
Much more computer for the money.

i got the dv2000t and i am loving it. They are exactly the same except for the gpu and size. Both have the same resolution. The 14.1" is perfect for me... it is so nice carrying this thing around. I really dont need a strong gpu so..yeah!

My previous laptop was an anchor also known as the Dell Inspiron 8200, so going to the dv6000 series (dv6174cl from Costco as well) wasn't much of a sweat. Carrying it around in a backpack is not that bad (but then others will struggle to lift my backback full of crap :) )
