This is the 3rd time my HP died, i dont know if its the motherboard or the GPU or the LCD, but seems to be its the Motherboard. It has faulty chips and each time i sent it out it only makes the problem come back even faster then before. I am so glad i got the futureshop 3 year warranty. Why get stuck with a lemon? If it happens 1 more time, i am gonna ask for a new 1 or a diff exchanged 1.

I know you can modify your heatsink to improve cooling of the gpu, but I'm not sure what your exact question is

@Ex3beatnik: The service centers that the warranty groups outsource too only reflow the solder on the broken components.

It is totally within your right to ask for them to replace the components rather then reflow the solder.

No lemon in most cases occurs on the 4th failure of the same kind. Some places do it on the 3rd failure but you have to request the no lemon.

What Service Center are they using?
What Is the futureshop's no lemon policy?
