    Hp Envy 14 Beats Audio Issue

    When i play music using my external speaker, everytime somones talks to me on skype it switches to the inbuilt ones then switches back straight away. really really confused

    go to the speaker options in skype and turn the alerts and other stuff off of "all speakers" and back onto speakers and headphones (first headphone jack)

    independent headphones is the second jack and if sound goes to that, and nothing is detected in the jack, it'll play through the laptop speakers.

    it happens because skype is pinging every speaker output on your envy.

    and the envy has more than one speaker output thing, so it goes through the speakers instead of headphones. set it to pick the correct one and it'll work fine
