    Hey guys,

I've had the Hp envy 14 for a while now (radiance display included! yay) and was wondering whether it was possible to change the screen cover (top cover where the backlit hp logo is) and parts of the chassis (palm rests), essentially all the parts that have the laser-etched design to the black beats envy 14 parts.

I was thinking it should be possible since both notebooks are essentially the same, and was wondering how much something like that may cost.

    Cheers!

I suspect this may not be possible.

I can tell you now that it would be, by my standards, frightfully expensive. Someone here damaged the top of his notebook. Replacing that part alone, even though the display is intact, would have been $255. Envy Parts are quite expensive. I've ordered enough to know. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up spending about $600 just on the parts. Moreover, I don't suppose you could ever expect to fool them about having voided your warranty should you need repair work. If I were going to throw that much away on cosmetic changes, I'd invest in a new Beats notebook and perhaps sell my current one.
