    For all those Brits who are interested in this Machine, I asked HP-UKs facebook about a UK release and got the following response;

"the release date in the UK is still TBC. However, stay updated, because an announcement could be made as early as July."

So looks like were getting It and hopefully soon.

Hey man, I really want this laptop as well, but I don't think it's worth waiting for it to come to the UK. The HP Envy 17 in the Hp store costs £1399, is uncustomisable and even only contains the sandy-bridge i7.

So I am trying to get the laptop from the US, because after customising it to all my needs (with 1080p screen, ivy bridge i7-3610q, hybrid 750gb hard drive) it only costs £750!! after of the offers HP releases.

I just need to find a way to get it here... :(

Hey man, I have researched and found several sites such as https://bongous.com/ and MyUS.com - MyUS.com - Top Rated Package and Mail Forwarding that basically give you a US address and then you order the laptop on the HP US site and use that US address. Then when the package reaches the US address, it is then forwarded to you. I think this is perfect, howver I do need to look at which service is the most reliable and not a scam...

In addition, does anyone know if the HP US site only accepts US cards or international cards? Thanks

I had considered importing from the states but most models of the envy they release in the uk have a good spec, saying that i'd rather buy my own SSD as they have come down in price massively in the last months, but manafactures still seem to charge a fair old whack for the upgrade.

anyway assuming the right spec comes to the UK after import duty (+£200) and the potential hastle of a return, I'd think it would make more sense to wait for a UK release.

Saying all this at £1288 the 15 Macbook pro is a tempting prospect.

I'm really interested in a UK release of this now also, considering that the Dell XPS 15 has come in at a very unattractive price and SKU in the UK.

Interesting, the HP site has had a major update in the UK. Their website was one of the reasons I never bought from them.

Very interested in release details for this laptop too. Currently entertaining the Sony S15 and Dell XPS15 but neither has quite hit the sweet spot yet :( Happy to wait a little longer for another potential option.

Hey guys, I am going to the US for holiday, and was thinking about buying the HP Envy 15 there since it is much cheaper. Thing is, you cannot buy from the US HP online store since you need a US credit card, and researching into electronic stores in the US, they only stock the old sandy bridge version (3040NR) in their stores. MY question is, is it worth buying the old sandy bridge version with all its faults (red display issue) for $1200-1300 (=£765-830) or buying the new version here from about £1300, estimating from other products on the site? What do you think? I appreciate the advice, I have researched so many hours into this and my head is aching...

    Hello,
I just recieved an Envy 15 that i ordered from Laptoptree dot com, through Ebay. I live in Denmark and i got it here in FIVE days. I ordered the I7 3610qm with 6Gb, 750Gb HD, WIDI and IPS screen. I ended up paying 1500$ including shipment with FedEx.
I´m totaly stoked, what a machine. The screen is fantastic, and no, it´s not orange. I´ve already ordered a Cruisial M4 512Gb ssd to beef the speed up.
The transaction was flawless, and the shipment was super fast. Sometimes i wait over a week for something i ordered from a city nearby.
What i´m saying is, if you really want this laptop, then go a head and order it. It was super smooth and fast to get it delivered.
    /Cheers
