I have an Envy 17 with 2 hard drives. It came with 2 mechanical drives, but i upgraded both drives to Solid State Drives.

The problem is, the 2nd hard drive doesnt show up. It says in the Intel storage managment that the 2nd internal SATA is empty, but it is not. I have formatted the drive to NTFS, and assigned a drive letter. I have gotten it to show a couple time by doing restarts, but if i turn the computer off, its totally random when and if the 2nd hard drive will show again.

Please help! Hp tech support wont help me since i upgraded to a solid state drive.

Sounds either like a loose connection or a faulty controller on the SSD. Do an RMA on the SSD.
