Hp G60 104-CA (Help)

i need some help on this.. first off i bought it for $770 it came with 2 yr warranty and a case (CAN) btw i figure thats a good deal tell me if i could get something better for the same price ...

1. what is my temp range suppose to be ... here is a screen shot

2. it says i have 2gb of ram but when i test it , it says i have 1.7 gb

3. the guy at the store sold me it saying it was a 16inch, all the signs in the store said it was 16inch the website advertises it as a 16inch ... and says its capable of playing at 720p

hp says its only 15.6 inch ...

what kind of site is thi .. im raging hard

 

1. AMDs do tend to run hot. But your temps seem normal for AMD Turions X2, it actually looks quite good. HP just doesn't have great thermal solutions, that's why your laptop may seem hotter than it is, especially to the touch.

2. It's showing 1.7gb because the rest that is missing is being used by your videocard. Your videocard is not discrete therefore it has to share memory with your system. I'm guessing it took away 300mb. You could probably lower your videocard memory usage through BIOS.

3. That store had bogus info. But it is a 15.6" screen which is widescreen so don't freak out about that. They must have just rounded up or something. Even though the resolution is not truly 16:9, it's close, it's still considered "widescreen". It's fine.

 

thanks man .. btw do you think i got a decent deal on it ? i got it for $549 before tax ...

also since its integrated if i install 2gbs of ram on top of my 4gb... it should improve performance....


last question... do you think i should get a cooling fan or id be fine and, i keep it plugged in and i take the battery out ... is this good or bad ?.. and i keep the brightness on full

lol gaming ... im 22 in university i wanna get my masters and w/e .. i dont think i have time for gaming and if i do i dont care if its on low as long as im able to play 25fps is good enough for me

dude... i put it on top of a book so air can flow underneath ... i dropped 7 *C
