you came to an Hp forum comparing Hp to other carriers. your obviously going to get responses in favor of the HDX, haha, so heres mine. the HDX 16t is a very nice machine and i would say go with it over the toshiba.

All three would be pretty similar. Quality wise these days amongst the major OEM's there is little to differentiate their consumer notebooks. Support is a similar issue, I usually consider technical support from the major OEM's to be non existant and you would be better off trying to find a solution on the web first and then try to contact support if there needs to be any warranty work. Other than that I wouldnt expect much in terms of any real technical support from both Toshiba or HP.

As far as the ability to upgrade is concerned, they are all laptops which means upgradability is not usually a major concern when designing these things. The usual suspects (RAM, HDD) can be easily upgraded but others will require a whole lot of disassembly or generally wouldnt be upgradable(like most graphics cards).

If you buy the HP with 30% off coupon, its a much better deal and cheaper than the toshiba. One of the reasons I did not get the toshiba is cuz it their website won't allow you to customize it and you also get the slower hard drive at 5400rpm compared to 7200rpm.
