    Hp Heat Issue1!!!

    I have a HP DV2315nr and it's very very very hot..

    to the left of the memory compartment, if i put my finger on it, it burns my finger.. literally.... and it's on the HP recommended power setting.. not even maximum performance.... I don't understand..... anyone know wat could be causing this excessive heat?

    Please do help.

    An abnormally plugged up exhaust or intake vent? Check the fins on the heatpipes and fan.

    Mine used to do that. It got so hot that after I took the laptop off the table I probably could've fried some eggs on it. My laptop finally stopped turning on (probably due to the extreme heat) so I sent it back to HP and they replaced the system board and now it runs pretty cool.
